Denture Cream

April 16, 2011
I'm sure you've heard of how some denture cream products contain zinc, and over time, and with significant use, enough zinc is absorbed by the body to cause problems. We have known for a long time that excessive zinc intake inhibits copper absorption. And that's what has happened to a number of people who wear dentures. Of the 35 million or so people, an unknown number have suffered from a variety of neurological and other issues. We don't know the exact number, as symptoms can seem vague and hard to correlate to the dentures.

The underlying theme has been that the denture cream manufacturers who use zinc in their formulation have downplayed the risks. Of course, this isn't shocking, and certainly not the first time a company said its product was "OK" for use, only to find out later it wasn't . Money, money, money.

Speaking of money, if you do a search online under denture, cream, and zinc, most of your top hotlinks are from lawfirms, lining up to act like they care about you, but in the end profit from your misfortune. Welcome to America.

So why do I write about this? What does this have to do with natural medicine? Everything. Some of these victims were so debilitated, that they were confined to a wheelchair. So, if a practitioner of natural medicine had run a mineral panel on them, and found low RBC copper levels, and then administered copper, they literally would have freed people from wheelchairs.

So if this is possible in this set of circumstances which we have now come to appreciate, is it not possible in others of which you are unaware, but I am?
