Is the PSA and digital rectal exam necessary?

I've had a digital rectal exam, once. Personally, I'd rather die from prostate cancer than do it again. However, I have no plans on that happening either.

Not to mention the National Cancer Institute found that 75% of prostate biopsies are unnecessary.

I question the value in these biopsies, which have the potential to free an otherwise controlled growth of cells gone bad.

Prostate cancer is more than surgery and drugs. A change in diet, nutritional needs met, toxins such as heavy metals addressed, and hormone balance are all key.
